Getting started
An overview of Icletns, its booking workflow, and the main concepts used throughout the documentation.
Icletns is booking, scheduling, and business management software for salons, beauty businesses, barbers, wellness businesses, fitness professionals, independent service providers, and other appointment-based businesses. It enables a Business to configure its services and availability, make a booking form available to Customers, and manage its own bookings through an administration dashboard.
Icletns is provided to Businesses on a subscription basis. Access to certain features may depend on an active paid subscription. Subscription billing is handled through third-party payment providers.
Icletns is not a marketplace and does not provide or manage the services offered by Businesses. A Business may make its booking form available through an embedded widget, a hosted booking page, or another supported integration without building booking infrastructure from the beginning.
Icletns supports:
Typical use cases include a salon offering appointments with individual staff members, a wellness provider managing several services and schedules, or another appointment-based business adding online booking to an existing website.
Icletns provides software and booking infrastructure only. The Business provides the booked service and controls its staff, availability, service information, prices, cancellation terms, and other customer-facing policies. Any contract for an appointment or other booked service is solely between the Business and the Customer, and Icletns is not a party to that contract. See the Partner Terms of Service and End Customer Terms.
Icletns is not medical software, an electronic health-record system, or a clinical-records platform. The standard service is not designed for medical records or special-category health data.
Businesses are solely responsible for the accuracy of their service descriptions, pricing, staff information, availability, cancellation policies, regulatory compliance, and customer communications.
The standard booking workflow is:
Icletns does not process appointment payments, store payment card details, hold customer funds, act as a merchant of record, or participate in the settlement of appointment-related transactions between Businesses and Customers. Appointment-related payments, cancellations, refunds, and disputes are solely between the Business and its Customer.
At a high level, the booking flow consists of four parts:
For integration guidance, see Form Initialization. For an end-to-end setup sequence, see Quick Start.
An account used by a Business to configure its operations, manage access to the administration dashboard, and control booking settings. A business account may include one or more staff members and services.
An appointment-based offering configured and supplied by a Business. A service may include a name, description, duration, price, assigned staff members, and booking restrictions.
A person who performs one or more services. Staff availability contributes to the dates and times offered to customers.
A person who uses the booking form to request or create an appointment with a Business. Customers must provide the information required by the Business to process the booking. The handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Notice.
A scheduled booking between a customer and a Business for a selected service, date, and time. Depending on the Business's settings, an appointment may require confirmation.
The customer-facing booking form loaded on a Business's website. It displays configured services and available times and sends booking information to Icletns for processing on the Business's behalf.
The JavaScript installation that loads, initializes, and renders the booking widget within an existing website. Integration details and illustrative examples are provided in Form Initialization.
